One summer day I got a chance to shoot a bridal lookbook of an amazing wedding gown made by Coco Melody in an epic place – Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. This photoshoot was such an unbelievable experience! The dress, the location, my model, the road trip in itself and the right time all contributed to this being absolutely an unforgettable memory that I will certainly come back to many time in the future.
It all started when me and Krista – my beautiful model, got the dress from the showroom in Downtown Los Angeles, California and then hit the road for few days. At first, we planned on reaching Las Vegas, Nevada as a furthest stop but when we got there, we wanted more and had this crazy idea to keep going. We crosses 3 states in a search of “the ultimate dream” location and finally, we settled for Horseshoe Bend – a meander of the Colorado River, named from its shape, located near the town of Page, Arizona, United States. It’s a truly magnificent place (if you haven’t seen it, add it to your must-visit list right now), and we were there at the most beautiful moment – golden hour. Somehow we managed to flow between crowds of excited tourists – yeah, everyone wants to see the wonder of this place – and find some tourist-free zones.
Bathed in warm, sunsetting Arizona light and hugged by the dusk of this beautiful day at the desert – this was our moment.
